Eloy, AZ, Skydiving Capital of America

Pops and girls at Skydiving Center getting ready for their for jump. Just kidding Anne Marie and Tyson. We were there just to watch them jump.

Tandem jump coming right over our heads. Pops would have jumped but the weight limit was 200 pounds. Yeah, right! We're off to the Grand Canyon.

Montezuma National Monument

The Grammy Girls (new nickname for the girls of our adventure party) and Grammy below cliff ruins at Montezuma National Monument. These dewellings are 1200 years old. Honey, its your turn to go get water.

It's cool in the shade during and warm in the winter....and a heck of view.

Sonora Caverns, Texas

We arrived Tuesday afternoon, set up camp, checked out the rock shop and waited for our tour guide. We are getting ready to head down into the Sonora Caverns. Our guide tells us we are going to descend over a 155 feet into the earth. The climate in the caverns stays a constant 70 degrees with 90% humidity. It will be a nice relief from the hot Texas heat. Need a good pair of shoes, light clothes and and no claustrophobia.

How's this for great formations?

Here are Chloe and Ayanna standing next to the "popcorn" formations. No, not the edible form.

All in all, it was a great day. That evening the stars were amazingly bright and filled the sky.

The Great Adventures-Ayanna and Choloe

Ready, Start----Go! Loaded up the RV with great food, books and plenty of summer projects. We are headed for a six week tour of eight National Parks--Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Tetons, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain and Carlsbad Caverns. Pops and Grammy will be our tour guides, camp cooks, and overall support team. Our parent's were sad to see us go but I am sure they will survive without us around the house (Ha, Ha).
Our first day will be a short drive north of about 150 miles to Sonora Caverns. Stay tuned for great pics and our travel log.
